Herodotus

The Greco-Roman period of antiquity consisted of many writers that catalogued Egyptian history and folklore. Herodotus briefly discussed the influence that Egyptian priests had on Chaldeans. These historical attestations are well documented in Chaldean manuscripts. Herodotus and the myth of an Egyptian-Chaldean priesthood seek to explore the Chaldean and Greek records of Egyptian priesthood in the region of Mesopotamia.
